FAQ's

  • Do you travel outside of Hawkes Bay for sessions?
Yes, of course I do! I absolutely love a roadie - so don't let "distance" hold you back from booking.
  • Can we include Grandparents?
Yes! I absolutely recommend generational photos! Time with loved ones is most precious! A family session consists of up to 6 people. If your immediate family number exceeds that number (or if you would like to add the grandies and they put you over the limit) please get in touch about this prior to your session. You may also bring along your fur babies (in fact, I encourage it!!)
  • When and where are sessions held?
Outdoor sessions take place around sunset during that special time we call "golden hour". If you have young children we recommend locations fully shaded so that we can schedule at a time that works for your family (if sunset is too late). Photoshoots are always more meaningful when they have a special little place in your heart. I do recommend thinking of a little spot that is meaningful to you and your family. But that doesn't mean I don't have options. Upon booking I send out a location guide that will have some of Hawkes Bay's most finest recommendations.
  • What should we wear?
I want you, as the client to feel beautiful but most importantly comfortable. I cannot tell you what or what not to wear. However, I do recommend neutral, earthy or pastels tones. Especially when your shoot is out in nature! I discourage loud sportswear, wild patterns and large logos. As a group I recommend clothing that compliments one another but doesn't totally match. Please keep in mind that there is a thing as ‘too much black’. Upon booking I do send out a client "what to wear guide," so planning your session is fun and effortless. Mamma's please get in touch if you would like to use our client wardrobe.
  • When and how do we receive our images?
As a lot of effort and planning goes into your sessions, I understand the excitement that comes with wanting to boast about your beautiful family. As you may see that wedding photography is a large portion of what I do, meaning that during peak seasons your images may take between 4-6 weeks to arrive. Images are initially delivered via an online gallery, followed by a USB and at least one physical print of your choosing after.
